Class Descriptions


Basic

 

An introductory class for students who are new to yoga or a refresher class for others. This class will focus on poses with heavy assists from the instructor.

 

Vinyasa

 

Vinyasa yoga focuses on smooth transitions between poses with each movement coordinated with breath. This type of yoga aims to cultivate a connection between the mind and body. This class is best suited for yogis that have mastered that connection of breath with movement .

 

Rise & Shine Yoga (Gentle Vinyasa)

 

This class is designed specifically for early mornings! Begin with warming stretches in preparation for a series of gentle flows and focus on breath. You’ll leave with an open and balanced mind and body!

Restorative

 

This type of yoga is a practice of passive healing. By allowing time for longer asanas (postures or poses) using props such as blocks, bolsters, blankets, etc. and deeper breathing, restorative yoga helps elicit the relaxation response . This response can help slow breathing, reduce blood pressure, and produce a feeling of calm and increased well-being. Through the use of props for support, many of the postures are held almost effortlessly. This class is suitable for all levels.

 

Gentle Yoga

 

This 75 minute class will incorporate pranayama (breathing), asanas (postures/flow) and relaxing, guided meditations at times. You will explore the variety of poses and gentle flows. There will be a focus on the alignment of the pose and then adapt it to your unique practice. When you are comfortable in a pose it allows you to breathe deep and soften. Only when we are relaxed and breathing in a pose, whether standing or sitting, can energy flow. Once we open up and energy is flowing…then we really feel good and gain awareness of our body and our practice. It will be the breath that will walk us through the practice. As we bring greater awareness to our breath, it helps us to stay in the present and leave the outside world behind. That is the one of many goals of yoga…living in the present moment. This class is available to all levels and all are encouraged to attend!

 

Deep Stretch Yoga

 

These 75 minute classes are a great place to start for beginners as well as a great way to compliment and deepen your practice. Deep stretch yoga involves moving through poses to improve flexibility and release tension. It is a slower paced class where poses are held for longer periods of time to promote opening, lengthening and an opportunity to explore. This class will help you feel lighter and more open and can leave you feeling relaxed and calm.

Strength & Stillness

Experience the perfect balance of energy and relaxation in this unique yoga class that blends dynamic Vinyasa flow with the calming, restorative benefits of deep stretching.

The first half of the class will focus on a flowing Vinyasa sequence, where you'll move through sun salutations and fluid postures, syncing breath with movement to build strength, flexibility and focus. The flow will invigorate the body and awaken your energy.

As the class transitions into the second half, we’ll slow things down and move into restorative poses. Using props like blankets and bolsters, you’ll deeply relax and release tension, allowing the body to fully rest and recover. This gentle, mindful practice will leave you feeling grounded, balanced and rejuvenated.

Whether you’re looking to challenge yourself or unwind, this class offers the best of both worlds

 

SOMA Awakening Breath Meditation

SOMA breathwork uses a combination of rhythmic breathing, music, visualization and vocal toning. It’s based on the ancient Indian science of pranayama. Join us for an inspiring hour of movement and breathwork bringing you into heightened states of joy, energy, connection and consciousness. SOMA breathwork can help with stress, anxiety, depression and sleep. It can also improve mood, energy and focus.

Next class TBD. REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. Cost is $15.00 and is due upon registration.

 

Healing Sound Baths

Join us for a relaxing sound bath experience where you can let go and just be. The incredibly gifted Jesse Sage ( www.jessicasage.love) will intuitively create a custom sound journey experience. Give your body, mind and whole being an opportunity to rest and reset with the healing frequencies of singing bowls, chimes, rattles, drum and other instruments - including her voice! Allow yourself to surrender to what is. Release what feels heavy and be filled with the vibration of Love.

Candlelight Yoga

During this class you will let go of the week and focus on the new month ahead. We are so fortunate that we can enjoy all four seasons of the year and each month has its own wonderful qualities. This will be a 75 minute, unhurried calming candlelight class. You are encouraged to enter the dark glowing room and relax on your mat and begin to let go prior to class starting. Anyone wishing to attend the class is welcome, there are no requirements for the class except to cultivate openness and awareness of the mind, body and heart through gentle practice. Classes could be a combination of Gentle flow, Restorative, Mindful breathing and Reflection. Cost is same as a Drop In ($15.00)
